CLG beat F3 to meet EnVyUs

CLG have progressed to Group A's decider match at the Game Show Global eSports Cup after seeing off FlipSid3 Tactics 2-0 (16-14 on de_inferno and 16-4 on de_overpass).

Day one of the Global eSports Cup, taking place inside Game Show's studio, in Vilnius, continued with the first elimination match, with CLG and FlipSid3 fighting for survival in the tournament.

The first half of de_inferno was highly contested from start to finish as neither side were able to stamp their authority on the game. With teams trading round for round, it was no surprise that only one round separated the two sides at the break.

Now playing on the Terrorist side, FlipSid3 Tactics started the brighter of the two teams and overcame the deficit by picking up the opening two rounds, but they were outclasses when CLG bought up in the third round. The North American side then got on a fantastic run and brought the scoreline to 14-10 before sealing the deal in the 30th round as FlipSid3 tried to push for overtime.

FlipSid3 return home empty-handed 

Map 2 was de_overpass, where CLG turned up the heat and won 12 rounds on the CT side to put FlipSid3 Tactics in danger of getting blown out. After losing the pistol round of the second half, the Ukrainian team hit back while on eco, but they were unable to follow it up as CLG regained control of the game and sealed a 16-4 success.
